Human Development Foundation
Human Development Foundation (HDF) is a company limited by guarantee and licensed under Section 26 of the Companies Act, 1913. It was registered as a non-profit social welfare organization, by the Registrar of the Joint Stock Companies of Bangladesh on 29th November 1993. From the very beginning of its journey, HDF is working with an endeavor to promote welfare of the poor and provide assistance for the distressed through social welfare steps, especially in the field of education. The core programme of the Foundation is Talent Assistance Scheme (TAS), a brainchild of late Alamgir M.A. Kabir, the founder chairman of the Foundation. TAS is directed with the aim of providing financial support in the form of interest-free loan to financially disadvantaged but meritorious students, mostly from rural areas. Every year 60 students, 30 girls and 30 boys, from the level of HSC first year are offered the award of interest-free loan. The assistance continues till the completion of their graduation/post graduation degree without any break. The members are also provided with donations for books and dresses. Another major programme of the Foundation is Rural School Library Enrichment Programme (RUSLEP). The goal of the project is to build up libraries in rural schools with a good stock of suitable books, other than the prescribed text books; and to expose the students to the domain of education and enlightenment in which they are considerably disadvantaged compared to their fellow students of urban background. HDF is also implementing projects in various sectors through partner organizations in different parts of the country.
হিউম্যান ডেভেলপমেন্ট ফাউন্ডেশন মেধা লালন প্রকল্প-এর অধীনে সুদমুক্ত শিক্ষাঋণ প্রদানের জন্য বিভিন্ন শিক্ষা বোর্ড থেকে শুধুমাত্র ২০২১ সালে মাধ্যমিক/সমমান পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ দরিদ্র মেধাবী ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের নিকট থেকে দরখাস্ত আহবান করছে। নির্ধারিত আবেদন ফর্ম ফাউন্ডেশন-এর অফিস থেকে সরাসরি অথবা ফাউন্ডেশনের ওয়েবসাইট থেকে সংগ্রহ করা যাবে। আবেদন ফর্ম পূরণ করে জমা দেবার শেষ তারিখ ২৮/০২ ২০২২। ডাকযোগে বা সরাসরি অফিসে (শুক্র/শনি ও সরকারি ছুটির দিন ব্যতীত অন্যান্য দিন সকাল ৯.৩০ থেকে বিকাল ৪ টা পর্যন্ত ) আবেদন ফর্ম জমা দেওয়া যাবে।

সাবেক তত্ত্বাবধায়ক সরকারের উপদেষ্টা, ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উইমেন এন্ড জেন্ডার স্টাডিজ বিভাগের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও ইমেরিটাস অধ্যাপক ড. নাজমা চৌধুরী গত ৮ই আগস্ট ২০২১ সকাল ৮টা ৩০ মিনিটে রাজধানীর একটি হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় মৃত্যু বরণ করেন। একুশে পদক প্রাপ্ত এই গুণী শিক্ষাবিদ, গবেষক ও সমাজ সংগঠক এর- মৃত্যুতে হিউম্যান ডেভেলপমেন্ট ফাউন্ডেশন পরিবার গভীরভাবে শোকাহত ।
ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে উইমেন এন্ড জেন্ডার স্টাডিজ বিভাগ প্রতিষ্ঠায় এবং দেশের নারীশিক্ষা ও নারী অধিকার আদায়ে তিনি যে অসামান্য অবদান রেখেছেন তা জাতি চিরদিন শ্রদ্ধার সাথে স্মরণ করবে। উল্লেখ্য, ড. নাজমা চৌধুরী হিউম্যান ডেভেলপমেন্ট ফাউন্ডেশনের একজন অন্যতম স্পন্সর মেম্বার হিসেবে এই সংগঠনটি প্রতিষ্ঠায় অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভুমিকা পালন করেছিলেন। ফাউন্ডেশনের প্রতিষ্ঠাকাল ১৯৯৪ সাল থেকে ২০১৪ সাল পর্যন্ত এর জেনারেল বডির একজন সম্মানিত সদস্য হিসেবে তিনি অত্যন্ত নিষ্ঠা ও আন্তরিকতার সাথে দায়িত্ব পালন করেছেন। ফাউন্ডেশনে আমরা তাকে অত্যন্ত বিনয়ী, সৌহার্দ্যবান এবং সমাজ সচেতন হিসেবে দেখেছি। ফাউন্ডেশনের অগ্রযাত্রায় তিনি প্রত্যক্ষ ও পরোক্ষভাবে যে ভূমিকা রেখে গেছেন তা আমরা সবসময় কৃতজ্ঞতার সাথে স্মরণ করবো। আমরা মহান স্রষ্টার কাছে এই উজ্জ্বল ব্যক্তিত্বের রূহের মাগফিরাত কামনা করছি এবং সেই সাথে তার শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারের প্রতি সমবেদনা জ্ঞাপন করছি।

ফাউন্ডেশনের পক্ষ থেকে জানাচ্ছি অনেক অনেক শুভেচ্ছা। করোনা মহামারীর এই কঠিন ও স্থবির সময়ে প্রকল্পের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদেরকে ইতিবাচক, সৃজনশীল ও গঠনমুলক কার্যক্রমে যুক্ত করার লক্ষ্যে প্রকল্পের বর্তমান সদস্যদের জন্য অনলাইন ভিত্তিক কিছু শিক্ষামুলক কার্যক্রম শুরু করার ব্যাপারে আমরা সক্রিয়ভাবে চিন্তা ভাবনা করছি। কার্যক্রমগুলোর মধ্যে বিষয়-ভিত্তিক আলোচনা, উচ্চশিক্ষা ও ক্যারিয়ার বিষয়ক কর্মশালা, অনলাইন কুইজ প্রতিযোগিতা, অনলাইন কাউন্সেলিং প্রোগ্রাম, অবহিতকরণ কর্মসূচি ইত্যাদি অর্ন্তভুক্ত থাকতে পারে। উক্ত কর্মসূচিগুলো সফলভাবে আয়োজন করার জন্য তোমাদের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণ ও সার্বিক সহযোগিতা আমাদের একান্ত কাম্য।
মেধা লালন প্রকল্প’র বর্তমান সদস্যদের পাঠ্যক্রম বহির্ভূত কার্যক্রমের অংশ হিসেবে অনুষ্ঠিতব্য অনলাইন ভিত্তিক এসকল কার্যক্রমে তোমার অংশগ্রহণ নিশ্চিত করার জন্য তোমাদের কাছে ইতিমধ্যে ডাকযোগে চিঠি ও তথ্য বিবরণী ফর্ম পাঠানো হয়েছে। উক্ত চিঠি ও তথ্য বিবরণী ফর্ম যদি তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ না পেয়ে থাকো তাহলে তথ্য বিবরণী ফর্মটি আমাদের ওয়েবসাইট থেকে ডাউনলোড করে তা যথাযথভাবে পূরণ করে অতি দ্রæত ফাউন্ডেশন বরাবর পাঠানের জন্য তোমাদেরকে বিশেষভাবে অনুরোধ করা হচ্ছে।
